Winners of #BuyLocalFlyLocal Campaign

The pre-Christmas #BuyLocalFlyLocal retail campaign launched by Ennis Chamber in partnership with Shannon Group, was a great success. Those who spent €30 or more in any of the 48 participating businesses could enter a draw to win fabulous breaks to the three newest destinations from Shannon Airport.

Shannon Group provided two flights to each of the three new scheduled destinations for 2020, namely; Vienna, Paris and Barcelona, while Ennis Chamber presented each of the winners with a cheque for €600 to cover accommodation of their choice.

The winners were Siobhan Boyce from Cratloe who is headed to Vienna, Maeve Moloney from Kildysart, who is off to Paris, while Fiona Jordan from Ennis can look forward to a break in Barcelona.

Gwen Culligan, president Ennis Chamber said; “You can’t beat a glamorous prize to whet the appetite and consumers shopping and socialising in Ennis in the run up to Christmas really engaged with this promotion. Ennis Chamber was delighted to partner with Shannon Group to promote the excellent choice of new departures from Shannon Airport in 2020. I’m sure Clare residents will enjoy the opportunity to visit these top European cities, but importantly, business owners in the region can look forward to welcoming more visitors from Austria, France and Spain, who now have the opportunity to fly directly to Shannon and County Clare. “

Mary Considine, CEO Shannon Group said, “We know how important it is to support local businesses and we were delighted to be part of the #BuyLocalFlyLocal campaign devised by Ennis Chamber. The campaign is a great testament to the power of partnership. Our three new routes will deliver new visitors from three key markets and will assist the tourism and business sectors in the region. We would like to sincerely thank people for their support and ask them to continue to Fly Shannon.”
