Up-Skilling Roadshow headed for Ennis with support of Ennis Chamber

‘Mid-West Upskilling Roadshow’ will arrive in Ennis on Wednesday September 25th, at the Civic Room, Waterpark House, Drumbiggle Road, thanks to a partnership between Ennis Chamber and Regional Skills Midwest.

“This event will offer employers and employees an opportunity to meet with education and training providers and learn about various part time courses, many of which are funded by Government,” said Joe Leddin, Mid West Regional Skills Forum Manager.

Margaret O’Brien, CEO, Ennis Chamber in welcoming the event said, “We are delighted to partner Regional Skills Mid West as hosts of this half day event. We have worked with Joe Leddin over the past year, during which time he has delivered up-skilling programmes to members of Ennis Chamber.

She added, “It’s very important that we work together in Ennis and that HR managers in particular tune into joint opportunites. When we work together we can create the numbers required to make it viable for trainers/educators to deliver training and up-skilling programmes here in Ennis, to avoid  employees having to travel to Limerick or further afield.”

Representatives from Spingboard, the Higher Education Authority, Regional Skills and the Department of Education, will be joined by representatives from University of Limerick and Limerick Institute of Technology at the Upskilling Roadshow.  It will be a great opportunity for business owners ans HR professionals to meet mid-west based colleges and education providers.

Opportunites around part-time, on-line and flexible learning will be explored on the day. The MidWest Upskilling Road show will take place from 9am – 1pm on Wednesday September 25th.
