UL@Work Professional Diploma Programmes for 2022

‘The Great Resignation’, whereby up to 40% of employees in the US and UK are considering leaving their current job, is echoed here in Ireland according to a recent survey from UL’S Kemmy Business School, which reported almost half of the employees recently surveyed agreed with the statement that their ‘future career lies outside of this organisation’.

This phenomenon is having huge implications for talent attainment and  retention in all sectors and in all organisations regardless of size.

Meeting this challenge

To meet this challenge UL@Work has co-designed with industry a range of digital Professional Diplomas in areas of:

  • Law and Technology
  • Digital Futures

Moreover in 2022 UL@Work are launching their first Digital Apprenticeship Programme in Cybersecurity. All UL@Work programmes are designed so that students can successfully combine the demands of the workplace while they take the next step on their up-skilling journey.

In response to several industry requests, UL@Work are running a limited number of virtual in-company information sessions on the various benefits of up-skilling in these areas and also offering staff the opportunity to take part in a taster session of the new professional diploma in Data Analytics.

  • *Cyber Security Apprenticeship  top–up degree  –  Level 8, Part-time, 2-Years in duration (September 2022)
  • *Industry led engineering degrees where students will benefit from extended placements in companies and industry co-supervision of their project work. (Enrolling September 2022 for 2024 placement)
  • MicroCreds – bite-sized, accredited short courses
