Trade with Georgia

On 27 June 2014 the EU and Georgia signed an Association Agreement and have applied it provisionally since 1 September 2014.  The Agreement introduces a preferential trade regime – the Deep and Comprehensive Free Trade Area (DCFTA).

The EU is the main trade partner of Georgia. The recently established Embassy of Georgia in Ireland is hoping to promote increased trade links between Ireland and Georgia. Representatives of the Embassy are hoping to make contact with Chambers and businesses who might be interested in doing business in Georgia. Should your Chamber or your members be interested in meeting with representatives of the Embassy, please contact emma.kerins@chambers.ie or George Zurabashvili, Charge d ‘Affairs at the Embassy of Georgia in Ireland at gzurabashvili@mfa.gov.ge
