Successful Ennis Chamber event on offshore renewals

Last week Ennis Chamber got its in-person autumn/winter networking events calendar off to a flying start with a highly engaging presentation by Jerry Hallissey, Head of Business Development, Shannon Foynes Port Company.

Jerry’s presentation ‘Floating Offshore Energy Opportunities’ addressed topics including

  • Early Engagement
  • Thinking Big – maximising opportunities for all
  • The greening of shipping and aviation (Shannon Airport, Foynes and beyond)
  • The resource that keeps giving

There was a great buzz in the room around the green energy opportunities for our region. The energising Q & A session had to be extended to accommodate a stream of astute questions raised by attendees, many of whom are actively involved in the renewables sector.

Feedback for this event was very positive with delegates saying they were inspired by Jerry Hallissey’s presentation and the discussion in the room which followed.

Jerry Hallissey has made a copy of his presentation available to Ennis Chamber, which has already been circulated to attendees. However, if you were unable to attend and would like a copy of that presentation, please email: mobrien@ennischamber.ie
