Spotlight to focus on Ennis in search for Bank of Ireland’s National Enterprise Town 2019

Bank of Ireland’s National Enterprise Town Awards recognise the spirit of enterprise in local areas across Ireland, bringing business and community groups together to showcase their efforts to build an economically sustainable community, and on Friday September 6, the spotlight will be firmly on Ennis.

Last year, on first time of entering, Ennis was judged ‘Best Enterprise Town, Munster’, and this year the team led by Jean McCabe VP, Retail Excellence, assisted by Allen Flynn, VP Ennis Chamber are gunning for the top award of Ireland’s Most Enterprising Town, with a cash prize fund of €33,000.

The Enterprise Town judges will arrive in Ennis this Friday and will enjoy a walking tour of the town, guided by Jane O’Brien.  They will also tour many of the town’s leading enterprises before heading to the impressive head offices of TTM Healthcare in Ballymaley Business Park – a home grown globally successful business founded by Ennisman Brian Crowley.  MC Ciana Campbell will engage with a panel of business people representing all sectors in business in Ennis.

Business owners and leaders are cordially invited to join the audience for that session. To do so, they must arrive at TTM offices no later than 2.50pm, to take their seats.

Last year the Ennis team won not just the title of Enterprise Town Munster, but also a €3,000 prize fund, which was invested in Promote Ennis – a working partnership established by Ennis Chamber and Ennis Municipal District with a singular function to promote the town.

Ennis Chamber woukld like to tkae this opportunity to wish all involved in Ennis’s bid for glory, the very best of luck in their endeavours this Friday, and acknowledges the hard work put into this effort by Jean McCabe, Allen Flynn and the team.
