Today (April 28) sees the launch of the Ennis Chamber COVID-19 Survey, in association with Clare FM.
We are inviting businesses throughout ‘The Banner’ to complete this survey to ensure their voices are heard.
While the survey is open to all businesses there is a strong focus on the worst affected sectors, namely hospitality, tourism, retail and leisure.
Here in Co Clare tourism is one of our top sources of employment and COVID-19 is cruelly denying businesses, especially those in our coastal communities the opportunity to trade during what is traditionally a very short season.
However, retailers, especially those in fashion, where advance ordering is in tune with the seasons are also facing dire consequences. Publicans too are facing their own crisis as many anticipate that their businesses will be amongst the last allowed to re-open.
There are also big questions to ask when we look to how our local economy can be re-booted and by responding to this short survey you will have the opportunity to input to how that re-boot roadmap might look.
There is a short window of opportunity to complete our survey, which closes at 2pm on Friday, May 01.
With many of the questions in the survey checklist or multiple choice based, you’ll sail through it!
The results of this survey will be broadcast early next week on Clare FM.
Your support is needed because together we can be stronger.
