Ennis Chamber launched Clare Gift Card last year as a way to promote and support local businesses across the county.  Although on sale for just a few weeks prior to Christmas the initiative attracted over €125,000 in sales, a sure sign of the commitment by Clare people to get behind local businesses. This year, the team at Ennis Chamber are hopeful that Clare Gift Card will attract even higher sales.

Employers are encouraged to support this scheme and urged to get their orders in early in December to ensure timely delivery.

Margaret O’Brien, CEO, Ennis Chamber commented, “As a Chamber of Commerce we specifically ask local employers to take the opportunity to show their appreciation of staff by giving Co Clare Gift Card(s) up to the value of €500 TAX FREE.”

With 70 businesses signed up to redeem the cards, from across County Clare, those who receive a Clare Gift Card have plenty of choice where to spend their gift.  Retail and hospitality partners  were delighted to welcome the extra revenue generated by the card last year,  and no doubt will be just as pleased to welcome a sales boost post Christmas this year.
