It’s all about ‘The Banner’ this week

The buzz around the county this week is all about Banner hurling. First came celebrations of the victory by Clare in the All-Ireland Minor Hurling Final last Sunday. It was a great game and a terrifically skilful performance by Clare, over favourites Galway.

Hot on the heels of Ennis Chamber’s initiative to deck the streets of Ennis in saffron and blue bunting, we launched a #BestBannerWindow competition last week, the winners to be announced later today.

Deciding we needed to lead by example, we employed the artistic talents of Martin Shannon and Giordana Giache to animate our own window at our offices in O’Connell Street. Martin and Giordana were inspired by hurling wizard and captain of Clare Senior Hurling team, Tony Kelly.

The artwork was completed yesterday, and is already creating a buzz.

Ennis Chamber wishes Clare Senior Hurlers the very best of luck in their showdown with neighbours Limerick this Sunday, at TUS Gaelic Grounds,  in the Munster SHC Final 2023.

We offer special good wishes to Ryan Taylor, son of Pat and Susan, of Taylor’s Bar Ennis, valued members of Ennis Chamber.
