The new initiative ‘Barrier Up– Free Parking’ at Holy Family School’ has been a great success so far, with hundreds of cars parked in the grounds of the centrally located primary school over recent weekends.
With school holidays starting this Friday (Dec 19), the barrier will remain up over the holiday period (until January 4th) to allow shoppers and workers park free of charge in the large school grounds.
Ennis Chamber partnered with Clare County Council and the management of Holy Family Primary School, located in the heart of Ennis, to provide free parking across the weekends leading up to Christmas and during the school holiday.
The car park is accessed from Station Road, at the O’Connell Street end, opposite the Cathedral.
Ennis Chamber is appealing to business owners to ask staff to park at Holy Family Car Park to free up car parking in the town centre for customers.
