Failte Ireland – Survive to Thrive

Failte Ireland will host a virtual industry event – Survive to Thrive –  on Monday, February 01.

The agency will  share its plans to help the tourism and hospitality industry survive the COVID-19 crisis and begin the journey to recovery.

Scheduled  to take place between  10:00am – 12:00pm, Interim Chair Paul Carty will give the opening address with the keynote address delivered by the Minister for Tourism, Culture, Arts, Gaeltacht, Sport and Media Catherine Martin T.D.

This to be followed by an overview of Fáilte Ireland’s 2021 strategy ‘Survive to Thrive’.

Attendees will get information on new grant schemes and supports, a preview of domestic marketing campaigns, designed to drive footfall when the country re-opens.

There will also be an overview on preparations for Domestic and International Recovery including a focus on developing destinations and the outdoor tourism experience to stimulate demand

Following the event, participants will receive a toolkit outlining the initiatives planned to support tourism in further detail with practical advice and contact details.

Tourism will recover but there is still a long road ahead. It’s great to see the level of supports Fáilte Ireland has provided and to know they will continue to offer supports on the journey as we move through 2021 and beyond.
