Ennis Chamber hosts Garda Economic Crime Bureau (GNECB) to discuss the online scam known as invoice redirect fraud that has cost Irish companies thousands of euro in recent months, as criminal gangs continue to target businesses.

Clare Gardaí have arranged for GNECB to make a presentation to highlight the problem directly to business audiences in Co. Clare. The Bureau’s presentation will focus on alerting business owners and their accounts staff to the workings of this scam to help them identify when they are being targeted before it is too late.

At the talk in Ennis, Gardaí will advise businesses on best practice measures they should take in order avoid falling foul of this scam.
