On Tuesday, October 3rd, Ennis Chamber will host an informative event – ‘Cyber Security Trends and Threats’. This event is sponsored by St. Francis Credit Union.
We will be joined by senior representatives of ‘The Garda National Cyber Crime Bureau’ – the Garda unit tasked with investigations into cyber dependent crime, including network intrusions, data interference, and attacks on websites belonging to Government departments, state institutions and corporate entities.
The aim of this presentation is to raise awareness about the threats and risks associated with Internet and telecom use. Guidelines and tips will be provided on how to stay vigilant, and how to deal with such threats.
Case Study: We will also welcome Kevin Tierney, Managing Director of IT Solutions provider Tierney’s. Founded and headquartered in Ennis, Tierney’s has grown to become a leading independent IT solution provider within the Hospitality and SME sector across Ireland, the UK and EU. IT specialist, Kevin, will share a case study related to the topic.
