Enterprise Ireland Online Retail Scheme Open

Applications for the latest round of the Enterprise Ireland Online Retail Scheme are now open, but the clock is ticking towards the closing date of Wednesday June 01.

This scheme aims to encourage the retail sector in Ireland to develop a more competitive online offer that will enable an increase in their customer base online and offline.

This is a Competitive Fund which is administered by Enterprise Ireland on behalf of DETE with a total fund size of €9.3m. The closing date for applications is Wednesday 1st June 2022 at 12pm (noon).

Already, a healthy percentage of Ennis retail businesses have qualified for this scheme under previous rounds and the feedback from those businesses has been positive.

Successful applicant Gwen Culligan, Director,  County Boutique, Ennis encourages fellow Chamber retail members, who qualify (you must employ 10 people)  to apply for this generous funding support, saying, “In our experience it has allowed us professionalise and streamline our online offering, and has made us more competitive.”

What costs are eligible for the Online Retail Grant?

  • Salary costs of the internal project manager of the company to ensure project success (this must not be more than the external service provider costs).
  • Service provider charge to develop a digital strategy
  • Service provider charges to develop and enhance online presence (adding of new functionality)
  • Service provider training for your internal team
