Ennis crowned ‘Munster Regional Winner’ at National Enterprise Town Awards

Congratulations to Ennis, last night (December 5th) crowned ‘Munster Regional Winner’ in the category for  towns with a population 12,000 and over, at this  year’s National Enterprise Awards, sponsored by Bank of Ireland.

It marks the second year in a row for Ennis to win this category. The winners received a cheque for €3,000, to be used to promote the town.  This year’s team was led by Jean McCabe (Willow) and Allen Flynn (Old Ground Hotel) and the town’s entry in the national competition was sponsored by Clare LEO/ Clare County Council.

Present to collect the  award were (left to right in the attached pic: Colin Ryan, Branch Manager Bank of Ireland, Ennis, Allen Flynn, VP Ennis Chamber (Old Ground Hotel), Jean McCabe, VP Retail Excellence Ireland (Willow Boutique) a representative of Bank of Ireland presents the trophy to Cllr.Pat Daly, Leonore O’Neill, SEO, Clare County Council, Carmel Kirby, Director of Services, Clare County Council.
