On Tuesday April 18, a delegation representing Ennis Chamber met with Dutch Ambassador Adriaan Palm.
Ambassador Palm took the opportunity to visit Clare to meet with business owners, senior officials of Clare County Council and local politicians, to learn more about what is happening in the county, particularly in priority areas for the Embassy including economic development, sustainability and transport.
The Ennis Chamber delegation led by President Sheila Lynch included CEO Margaret O’Brien, Executive Board member Diarmuid McMahon (Sherry FitzGerald McMahon), Des Regan (Rengen Power) Suzy Madigan (EKO), Brian McDowell (Cup Print), Brian Fitzgerald (Simply Blue Group) and Conor Bunbury (Bunbury Darcy).
Commenting on the visit, Sheila Lynch, President Ennis Chamber said, “We had a very interesting conversation with Ambassador Palm around topical areas including renewable energy, in particular the opportunities for County Clare in the area of Floating Offshore Renewable Wind Energy. We also engaged on active travel and meeting carbon targets.”
Ambassador Palm presented to Sheila Lynch with a piece of traditional blue and white Dutch porcelain.
