A delegation of Ennis Chamber members met with Billy Kelleher MEP on Thursday, February 22, at Temple Gate Hotel, Ennis.  The purpose of the meeting was to give Ennis Chamber members the opportunity to have one-to-one discussions with Billy Kelleher around specific EU issues that currently, or potentially could impact their businesses and trade.

In his follow-on address to the group, Billy Kelleher, took questions from the floor and discussed issues including the often onerous nature of regulations and compliance and more specifically County Clare’s potential to become a key player in renewable off-shore energy and the need for the government to act now to harness future potential in this arena.

He surmised that in Ireland, while we are great when it comes to making plans, we can be slow to deliver on those plans.

Ends.
