€5m in funding for new Regional Enterprise Innovation Scoping Scheme (REISS)
To coincide with the launch of the new regional enterprise plans across the country a new €5million funding scheme has been announced – The Regional Enterprise Innovation Scoping Scheme (REISS).

The new scheme will enable the investigation of early stage concepts or accelerate the progress of significant projects seeking to develop new enterprise activities.
Larger funding schemes (standard REDF scheme to support capital and other expenses) are expected to follow with the first opening late 2022/early 2023.
The new scheme has two separate offerings:
Feasibility Funding – to deliver of Feasibility Studies on specific collaborative and innovative projects. A REISS Feasibility Grant with 80% grant support to cover consultancy and travel costs for smaller early stage feasibility projects, up to a maximum grant of €50,000, and
Priming Funding – to scope out detailed project delivery plans including design, costing and planning of infrastructural elements. A REISS Priming Grant with 80% grant support to cover Consultancy and Travel, but also supporting the cost of Personnel, Promotion and the Rental of Office space for larger scale more significant scoping projects, up to a maximum €200,000 in grant aid per project.
