Details of Ennis Streetscape Enhancement Scheme 2026
Clare County Council this week announced a scheme to enhance the historic character and traditional street scene of Ennis and create properties which are more attractive for residents, visitors, shoppers and businesses.
- A streetscape improvement scheme (grant) for property owners/occupiers to enhance the appearance of individual properties in Ennis
- Grant to be used for painting, improvements to facades and repairs of gutters and downpipes
Eligible properties include:
- Businesses within the Architectural Conservation Area of Ennis
- Standalone residential properties with ground floor accommodation directly adjacent to Public Realm Works (Project A & Project B)
- Applicant must be the owner of the property or have the written consent of the owner.
€1,000 grant available per property (or 80% of value – whichever is lesser)
Applications will open on February 2nd, 2026, and remain available for over three weeks, closing on February 27th, 2026.
