Clare Business Excellence Awards Focus on: Leadership in CSR

The Clare Business Excellence Awards are open for entry (closing date August 15) with a number of new categories introduced this year including, Leadership in Corporate Social Responsibility, sponsored by Essilor.

CSR has moved up the corporate agenda in recent years, with businesses, large and small, international and indigenous, placing a strong focus on a policy that gives back to the local community. Whether contributing to good causes or orchestrating a volunteer programme amongst employees, local communities are reaping the benefits.

In the words of Anita Roddick, Founder, The Body Shop, “The business of business should not be about money. It should be about responsibility. It should be about public good, not private greed”

With this in mind, Clare Business Excellence Awards would like to celebrae the positive impact of business on the local communities in County Clare, though this new award.

Written applications will be judged on how the company/entrant:
– Ensures employees at all levels of the company are encouraged to get involved with CSR activities
– The impact CSR activities have had on local communities ( the provision of a strong case study will suffice)
– Where relevant, evidence of how the organisation’s CSR activities have impacted other stakeholders
