June 4th: Chambers Ireland welcomes the announcement of €27 million investment, to accelerate Ireland’ transition to a circular economy.
Minister of State for Local Government and Planning, with responsibility for the circular economy, Alan Dillon TD said, “This funding represents a significant investment in Ireland’s sustainable future.
“By supporting circular economy initiatives, we are not only reducing waste and protecting our environment but also fostering innovation and creating green jobs.”
Chief Executive of Chambers Ireland, Ian Talbot stated: “We particularly welcome this investment as it demonstrates a clear commitment to supporting the circular economy as a national priority. This will help communities and businesses to innovate, reduce waste and build a more resource-efficient future.
A thriving circular economy is essential not only for environmental protection but also for enhancing competitiveness and supporting our long-term economic resilience. Companies want to engage with the Sustainable Development Goals. It’s encouraging to see continued support for initiatives that will help them adapt and lead in the transition adopt sustainable practices.”
