Age Friendly Training for customer-facing businesses

Last call out for Age Friendly Training opportunity.

Our society in Ireland is ageing quickly and while that brings with it many challenges, it also presents opportunities. The over 55’s demographic have more disposable income that any other and are therefore worth investing energy and time into developing an appropriate service offering to attract that cohort to shop, eat, stay and be entertained in Ennis.

Chambers Ireland is partnering Age Friendly Ireland in the national roll out of training workshops for businesses.  Ennis Chamber is supporting that drive in a bid to become an accredited Age-Friendly town.

Ennis Chamber has the support of LEO Clare and Clare County Council Age-Friendly Officer in rolling out the training programme locally.

On February 23rd at 10am, Orlaith Carmody, who leads the national Age-Friendly training programme for businesses will give a workshop to businesses in Ennis to mark the start of our journey.

We invite all customer-facing businesses to participate.

Please email: mobrien@ennischamber.ie if you or a member of your staff would like to participate in the upcoming workshop.   We will then issue a Zoom link.
