Leadership & Management skills for enterprise are essential for small, medium, and micro sized enterprises to flourish in their sectors and remain competitive. Further education and training (FET) programmes provide employers and employees the opportunity to upskill and develop leaders within organisations, inspire teams to reach their full potential, and open up new business opportunities.
To widen access to upskilling programmes for businesses of all sizes, SOLAS and Enterprise Ireland have formed a strategic partnership. A key area of focus is to support leadership and management upskilling for Irish enterprises. This Leadership and Management Development programme is designed to strengthen the core skills of any ambitious business owner looking to develop their own leadership skills and their middle management team’s leadership potential.

The programme aims to support the ambition, growth, and resilience of SMEs by providing upskilling in leadership and management skills. The modules are designed to provide the skills to manage change, lead teams effectively, develop resilience, and boost organisational and financial performance.

How is the programme delivered?
The programme is delivered by the 16 Education and Training Boards (ETBs) across Ireland. Programmes are available in person and blended learning formats, with online resources to enhance the learning experience.
Programme delivery is designed to be flexible and is scheduled to fit around the operating needs of the business.
Does the programme lead to a qualification?
The programme is accredited by the internationally-recognised Institute of Leadership and Management (ILM).
Is there any cost to complete the programme?
Programmes are highly subsided under the Skills to Advance initiative and delivered at little or no cost to the employer. The company’s local ETB will advise on the company contribution. There is no cost to the employee.
