Ennis native and Chief Executive of Avolon, Dómhnal Slattery will address the business community at a Business Lunch on Friday the 17th of February. Mr. Slattery will speak on the topic of “Making Ennis Interesting and Relevant”, a subject with broad appeal to anyone interested in the progress and future of the town.
Dómhnal Slattery is currently Chief Executive Officer of Avolon, www.avolon.aero which is headquartered in Dublin and has offices in Connecticut, Singapore and Shanghai. Avolon provides aircraft leasing and lease management services to airlines and aircraft investors worldwide. Since its launch in May 2010, Avolon has raised US$4.0 billion as well as bilateral loans with 17 of the world’s leading aerospace banks. Avolon’s portfolio consists of 95 aircraft and is the youngest fleet in the industry. It has 26 airline customers in 18 countries. Mr. Slattery was born in Ennis and educated in St. Flannan’s College and the National University of Ireland, Galway. Dómhnal’s father Jack was a well-known shop-keeper in Market Street. With business interests in Ennis, Dómhnal regularly returns home to his native town and has an active interest in promoting the positive development of the town.

The Business Lunch will take place from 12.30pm-2pm on Friday the 17th of February in the Old Ground Hotel, O’Connell Street.
