Ennis Chamber CE Scheme Shortlisted For Climate Award

The Ennis Chamber of Commerce is pleased to announce its involvement through their Community Employment Scheme  in the rejuvenation and regeneration of the Ennis West Community Garden.  The seven  outdoor staff of Ennis Chamber enthusiastically embarked on a comprehensive rectification of this community space which involved deep cleaning, replanting and reflooring of the garden area to beautify and encourage the local community to make the area a focal point in its dealings. The aim of this transformation project is to encourage the inhabitants to establish organic community gardening and be a social point for people to meet and catch up.

The work of the Ennis Chambers Community Employment staff hasn’t gone unnoticed as they have been shortlisted for a climate action award in conjunction with this years tidy towns awards. News of this shortlisting was also highlighted in Chambers Ireland In Business magazine – article can be found on page 61 of the attachment below.

Well done lads and keep up the good work.
